iilla. Calico Cuties Posy & Rue Are Effortlessly Adorable .iilla

All cats are loveable and beautiful, but there is something truly special about calico cats. A favorite among many cat lovers, these tri-colored cuties are known for being full of personality and affection—much different from the sassy tuxedo cats and tortoiseshell cats we love, too. While browsing Instagram, I came across a purrfect pair of calico gals that immediately caught my eye. Their names are equally as adorable as their photos, and something tells me you’ll think they’re just as cute as I think they are. And although the two aren’t related, they could pass for cat sisters because their markings and coat patterns are quite similar. I caught up with their human hoping to feature them on the site, and thankfully, they agreed. So, everyone get to know this cute Canadian calico twosome.

How did Posy and Rue come into your life?

We adopted Posy when she was one from a rescue shelter. Rue was rescued from a farm when she was three weeks old. We helped take care of her and her littermates. We brought her home when she was 7 weeks old.

How did you choose their names?

We thought Posy was a cute name for her. Rue was the runt so we chose a short name inspired by characters from Euphoria and Hunger Games.

What are their favorite hobbies?

They like to nap, snack, and play. They especially enjoy going in the backyard (with supervision). They also love boxes, catnip, and watching squirrels.

How do they get along with one another?

They are best friends who love to cuddle and play fight.

What’s something special you’d like for people to know about Posy and Rue?

They have completely opposite personalities. Rue is feisty and Posy is classy, but they are best friends and love each other so much.

I want to give a special “thank you” to Posy and Rue’s cat family for allowing me to share their story and images with all of the Cattitude Daily readers.
