The Narnia cat has made waves on the Internet not only for its adorable appearance but also because it has two fur colors on its face at the same time
As soon as the photos of Narnia in France taken by professional animal photographer Jean-Michel Labat were posted online, it quickly became a star overnight.
Photographer Labat successfully captured the rare appearance of Narnia, shaping up from the time it was still in its mother’s womb. Narnia is a British Shorthair cat. When Narnia was born on March 28, 2017, its owner, Stephanie Jimenez, instantly fell in love with the cute little cat with a pair of blue eyes.
Although the reason for Narnia having two different fur colors on its face has not been definitively determined, many believe it is a chimera phenomenon – where a creature is a collection of parts from different individuals.
In this case, a cat could have two different types of DNA when two embryos fuse together.
